How many years have you been an agent? 

Just over 12 years.

 

In one sentence why do you think independent agents are a better choice for the public?

As independent agents our business model essentially revolves around referrals from old to new clients and accordingly our service standards need to be the absolute best they can possibly be.

 

What do you hope CIELA will achieve?

A group to aggregate marketing spend to ensure we communicate to the best of our ability the benefits of using independent agents.  If we can then share marketing costs by aggregating our buying power then we are all the better for it.

 

To what do you attribute your success over your competitors?

We are completely passionate about estate agency and helping clients realise their property ambitions.  When you match that personal touch with our drive and determination it is a combination that helps propel our business forward.

 

What is the hardest part of running an independent agency?

Recognising the return on investment with marketing and advertising spend.

 

Most agents would admit to being busier than they like. What one thing would you advise them to stop doing?

Every market is different, generally know how each task feeds into the strategic goals for your business and what tasks lead to a better return on investment.

 

Who is the most impressive agent you have ever met?

All the agents at my company Go View London constantly impress me with their commitment and ability to learn and improve themselves.

 

How would you describe the overall quality of the founders group?

Exceptional, and its testament to Charlie Wright for identifying the mix of established, prominent and rising stars within the industry.

 

Why do you think Charlie is the right person to get this organisation started?

You need someone who is exceptionally well versed in estate agency, passionate about independent agency, can ensure an understanding how tech correlates to the client’s interaction and how it can aggregate and harness a mass body of companies: he can tick every one of those boxes.

While I did not know Charlie before he approached me he strikes me as a innovator and motivator again qualities that will be needed to lead a body of companies passionate about their industry and the challenges it faces.

 

What aspect of your business are you most proud of?

We have an unbelievable number of reviews via Google and Feefo that is testimony to the quality of service we provide.

 

If you could wave a magic wand and change one thing about your business, what would it be?

Larger office to hold more great team members.
